While Deo’s story is powerful and held my attention, the way it was presented was a disappointment. I found myself skipping around the book since it’s not written in chronological order. Deo's life and struggles in Rwanda and Burundi were interesting to read, and gave me insight to a part of the world unfamiliar to me.
