Delicious! Positively delicious! It's a book I didn't want to put down ... and yet didn't want to finish. Karen and Izzy, Nathan and Ben, moved into my life. I'm craving pears. By page 100, I'd bought a second copy as a gift; now I'm making a list of special friends. Just as I think of Gayle Brandeis at every mention of the Salton Sea (Book of Dead Birds) and storage lockers (Self-Storage), I will now remember her with every pear and pair of skaters. You can't judge a book by its cover, but the cover is delightful ... as is the book.
