Hands-down the best general-use atlas published anytime of anywhere. I'm a geographer and map collector. Clear, detailed maps with shaded relief and elevation coloring, showing every road - even logging roads. Indispensable for getting around the state during road trips of all kinds. All types of outdoor recreation attractions are marked and indexed, some have brief descriptions. There are more detailed maps for the Portland area, and an entire parallel set of "recreation maps" at a smaller scale than the main maps, covering the entire state again but showing land ownership instead of elevation. Best of all, the maps are beautiful!
