A page-turner as much for adults as for young people. The unique voice of Ted, the young narrator for whom emotions are such a puzzle, is fascinating as it reminds us that we are not so very different from those around us to whom we have given labels. This is a mystery that unfolds with feeling and insight. The book is expertly paced with lively character development. I particularly enjoyed the growth of understanding between Kat (Ted's older sister) and Ted which occurs throughout the story. Outstanding read and a genuine tribute to an extremely talented author. Would be an excellent choice for a late-elementary/middle-school book group.
