Thank the heavens that Nichole Robertson took her camera to Paris. These photographs are stunning. This book is not just a pretty coffee table book, but rather one you'd find yourself picking up to look over again and again.

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress

SarahNicoleD, August 6, 2012

This is honestly one of my favorite books. Sijie Dai's writing is absolutely gorgeous, the plot's placing is flawless, and it's just an interesting read overall. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone would likes strong characters, vivid descriptions, and compelling plot twists ... which is pretty much everyone, so go out and read it!

Everyone in my creative writing class has read it, so I've been meaning to pick it up for awhile. I just have to say that it lived up to my expectations. What a wonderful book!

Very beautiful! Shaw's photographs are exquisite, and you will find yourself picking it up again and again. Buy it if you like Audrey Hepburn, or just really good photography.
