Red Mist (Scarpetta) by Patricia Cornwell
Red Mist (Scarpetta)

Sohi, August 26, 2012

Before reading this book, I had heard criticism from friends. But, now that I have read it, I must say that it's completely unfounded. The story unfolded beautifully and kept me enthralled. You get so involved in all the twists and turns that Scarpetta's life undergoes. Ms. Cornwell sets the stage very well, and leads you into the frightening world of sociopaths and sadists; and the interesting world of forensic medicine and the experts in the field. Scarpetta's skill as a forensic expert, coupled with the technology used just made my day (actually 4 hours, coz I just couldn't put it down)!

Odd Apocalypse: An Odd Thomas Novel by Dean R. Koontz
Odd Apocalypse: An Odd Thomas Novel

Sohi, August 26, 2012

Dean Koontz has excelled himself with this journey of Odd Thomas. This book takes you to a journey into a world of thrill, humor and suspense. Like most of his books, it's also quite thought provoking. Koontz leaves the reader completely satisfied (and wanting more!).

It had quite a few unforgettable quotes featured in it, that I finally used the "highlight" feature on my Kindle.

Highly recommended book and definitely a must read!
