How to Read the Bible: A Guide to Scripture, Then and Now
How to Read the Bible: A Guide to Scripture, Then and Now

Stuart Nixon, January 22, 2010

Anyone who wants to better understand the common heritage of Judaism and Christianity but is willing to acknowledge the difficulties of interpreting ancient oral traditions will find this book an eye-opener from cover to cover. It is hard to imagine Jews or Christians alike ever again reading their sacred scripture the same way after pausing to consider this author's painfully honest analysis of the Hebrew texts shared by both faiths. The title of the book refers only to the Hebrew Bible (the Christian Old Testament).
