A Wally Lamb book is like taking a walk in an unsafe neighborhood that you can't stay away from. "The Hour I First Believed" is no exception. He writes characters you can not only relate to but start dreaming about. His landscapes are so vivid, you can
actually feel the gravel under your feet. He is an astounding storyteller. The story is not delightful, the characters are people we know. When I am not reading this book I am thinking about it. Life starts to reflect the subject matter. Lamb has written his best book yet. It will disturb you. Truth, even when fictionalized stings. You won't want to put it down.

When investigating a book, I am hopeful that I will encounter something that will appeal to my heart and my mind. "The Rest is Noise:Listening to the Twentieth Century" did not have that effect on me.
I was feeling deflated and anxious at the long run on paragraphs with little content.
The page I read felt bloated and disappointing.

Naomi Wolf is a leader in the truest sense of the word.
She inspires, educates and directs us to find America. The one in our hearts, and the one our founders created.
"A handbook for the American Revolutionary " will guide me to the next step, show me how to save my country and my life from those that will direct me toward fear and black shirts. Brave, eloquent and wise, she is the ACLU in action and she is encouraging me to be the same.
I am ready as one friend asked, to take this revolution to the streets.
Bravo, Naomi Wolf and thank you for giving me a first class ticket to MY America.
