I was looking for a book for my grandson who is going to Japan with me and his father. I was happy to find something intricate to support his understanding that kimonos are art.
I am a nurse who has been aside many a person as they died. Who do they say on their deathbed they see before them? God? No.The dying say they are talking to family and friends who are calling them.
I have done research with samples of people who have had CPR, died and returned via resuscitation. While clinically dead, some journeyed and reported they felt encompassed by unconditional love given by a being of light. For some, this being of light met their definition of God. I am anxious to read "The God Delusion" to see if Dawkins reports a religion that supports such a God.
I am sorry I cannot be at the reading. I just returned Tuesday from Oxford where my son Max Boykoff is doing a postdoctorate in the Envronmental Change Institute. Unfortunately, I came back with a case of pneumonia. While at Oxford, having just read "Meme" by Susan Bristol, I bought, "The Selfish Gene." I look forward to learning more from brilliant, dedicated authors as Richard Dawkins.

As in the Hogan style, she creates characters that teach us about history as it is played out in people's lives. Honest, bold, sensitive and wise.

Once you start the journey, you will not be able to set this book down. Every teenage girl and mom should read and discuss this book.(1 of 1 readers found this comment helpful)
