What? You haven't read this book yet? Read it now before it gains the literary fame it deserves! Everyone in the book has their own truth. Set in the mid-west during hard times, each character tries to be true to themselves and true to the family. We get to see the inner struggles that take place and make this a family.

Waiting for Columbus by Thomas Trofimuk
Waiting for Columbus

Tedra, January 1, 2010

Consuela is a nurse assigned to Columbus' case in a mental institution. Like Consuela, you can't help but be charmed by Columbus as he tells his tales of procuring in his ships and the women he loves. You also hope that by the end of his tales he will come to realize who he is and what has happened to him. I will look for more by this author!

Tedra, October 28, 2008

This is beautifully written in the many voices who participated and observed the events that take place. The book is heartbreaking and very full of human desires... This is a very timely and thought provoking book. I couldn't put it down.
