Ferguson is a surprisingly good writer. His humor comes across loud and clear...and twisted. It's the kind of book that when you loan out to the unsuspecting reader, he will surely look at you a little differently afterwards.
In typical Roach fashion, "Packing for Mars" is a book grounded in solid scientific practice and elevated to high art through humor. She asks the questions that most of us would not have the courage to ask.
