What a treat to go on this adventure from Andy's perspective. From his early years playing along with jazz records to his trek to the top of the charts (and all hilarious points in between) you will have a front row seat. At many points reading this book I had to wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes. Most enjoyable book I've read in years.
A great read for any Police fan, any musician, or music buff. Brilliant writing.

As a text on using SciLab this book is very useful. It is also moderately useful as a SciLab reference manual. Gives good examples, so one can do quite a bit of work by finding a similar problem, then cutting and pasting code. I certainly recommend this book to anyone who wants to use SciLab.

A good, solid book. I bought this book after designing my first adaptive controller without knowing any formal theory. I learned what I had done and a great deal of other useful information besides.
The book is written in a clear expository manner. While it would make a good textbook for a classroom situation, it is well organized, written and complete enough that with motivation you can learn the subject just from reading the book.

Understanding Digital Signal Process 2ND Edition by Richard G Lyons
Tim, May 2, 2006
This book is the first book I recommend to DSP newcomers. Even with my experience in the field I find many good practical tidbits.Rick presents all the necessary material clearly, without either oversimplifying it or getting lost in mathematics for its own sake.
