I concur with the previous poster--The Thirteenth Tale is a book that I could NOT put down. Literally. I devoured it cover to cover on the day I bought it, and it's been a while since a book grabbed me so completely. Reading this story is like peeling the layers of an onion--mystery inside of mystery. The characters are complex and the facts are uncovered gradually. Every time you think you've figured it out, a new twist pops up. The ending came as a very satisfying surprise. I recommend it highly.
