As one of the few books I was actually glad to have had to read for a class, "To Kill a Mockingbird" has remained one of my favorite books since the first time I read it. A young girl and her brother learn about integrity from their father and injustice from their racist Southern town. Thoughtful and touching, this book will stick with you long after you finish the last page.

This book is very helpful in several ways. The table of contents gives you quite a bit of useful information on each hike so that it is easy to narrow down which hikes you may like to do without turning to each one. Once you narrow it down and/or choose your hike, you will find helpful maps, detailed descriptions, driving directions, and often advice from the author about his prefered places to camp or picnic along the hike.
