My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayor
My Beloved World

Uriel, November 24, 2013

This book details the personal life of Hon. Justice Sotomayor. From her early childhood, Sotomayor grew up struggling and overcoming many obstacles; from diabetes to losing her father when she was very young. In a very emotional account, Sotomayor tells us that she is human with limitations. Despite her graduating from Princeton University and Yale Law, she is able to connect with us on a very personal level. Her overall message; work hard and overcome your obstacles. The book also goes into some critical themes like Affirmative Action and the Justice's experience with Affirmative Action programs.
