I loved this author's first book, Prep, but I love this one even more. Follow the main character through high school to adulthood and the relationships (good and not so good) that she experiences. Each section contains gaps that are years long, but it doesn't stop you from seeing how the characters have grown, in good ways and bad.

As the weather gets colder, what better book to curl up inside with than one that transports you to the foggy darkness of the Florida Everglades where two brothers search for their sister's ghost? This series of short stories are tightly written and don't miss the title story--unforgettable.

Janet Evanovich may have just published Twelve Sharp, the twelfth book in the Stephanie Plum series, but now is as good a time as any to get started from the very beginning. From a drag queen, to an eccentric grandmother, to a hot cop, Stephanie has her hands full as a newbie bounty hunter. As an end-of-summer beach read, or the beginning of a series that can take you through the fall, One for the Money is on the money.
