Written in prose so startlingly lyrical that the words must have gushed, like a spring, from a lovelorn and wounded heart, this novel is astonishing beyond words. “Obsession: An Erotic Tale,” is an unusual and titillating story of Talbot Bingham, a renowned, wealthy and successful architect, and Priscilla Bingham, his frustrated and sexually timid wife, and Bee, his mistress with whom he indulges in passionate but kinky sex.
The novel is highly erotic. It's not pornographic. It is also witty and very humorous. Reading some of the passages I laughed so hysterically that I had tears in my eyes. Some of the words and phrases I encountered were so unexpected that I was startled beyond words. I enjoyed reading it. Written in elegant and mellifluous prose, the novel is bewitching and highly readable. Yes, some prudes will be shocked; but those who are sane and broad-minded will enjoy this novel thoroughly. I recommend this novel very highly and heartily.

A major flaw with this book is that Mr. Benjamin Wittes, at times, conveniently forgets that there is a document called The Constitution of the United States of America, and that this document confers on the citizens certain inalienable rights.
His prose lacks elegance. Written in "legalese", it is far from gripping; it is dry and unreadable.
But every cloud has a silver lining, as they say, and this book is a visible proof that if you write a book and it turns out to be dry and unreadable, but you seek to get it published any way, never give up because, sooner or later you will find a gullible publisher who will read the manuscript and exclaim, "How charming!"
