This is not really a book, but whatever it is, it's brilliant. It's like listening to the radio/watching TV/snooping in someone's diary. The movie is great too, Michael Turner is amazing. A familiar story done in an new way. And better than ever.

This is a great book. It's the sequel to 100 Essential Chinese Characters. I wouldn't suggest using this book without reading/studying the first book, because they progress quite fast and skip over the basic characters. Also, in their pronunciation guide, they leave out combinations of vowels which is very important, but which is probably included in the first book.
Other than that, it's a really fun, useful book! It's not geared towards travelers, which I like. It builds a real foundation so you can learn the full language, not just basic tourist phrases.
