This is a wonderful book. It is VERY practical and informative. It is one of the best identifying books I have ever used. The illustrations and photographs are very good, not leaving anything obscure. The author includes recipes and uses. And, to top that off, it is written in a warm and even humerous way as the author relates stories of his own experiences learning to forage and teach others. One story is how the author told someone that cattails were edible and as he was about to explain, the person grabbed a cattail and put the top "fluff" in his mouth and wondered how anyone could eat this stuff! I would give this book a top rating.
