This was both the best and the funniest book I read this year. It's been difficult for me to find literary fiction I relate to that is not depressing. I'm not sure whether that's a commentary on me, the genre, the world, but it's been true since I was an adolescent. This is one of the rare exceptions.
Anyway, it's a sprawling,looping, wide-spanning story that I need to read again.
