Hmmm... how do I start. I really hate to bad-mouth a Kay Scarpetta novel. I am HUGE fan but, I was a little disappointed and felt that I had missed a book between Trace & Predator. I read Trace a little over a month ago and just finished Predator today. My biggest complaint would have to be that apparently Ruddy, just fell off the face of the earth. He was a big part of both Blow Fly and Trace and now he has just disappeared. Aside from feeling like I missed a chapter somewhere the book was pretty good I just kept waiting for him to show up and it was always in the back of my mind and kept me from being able to enjoy the book. He was such a large part of Lucy in Blow Fly and Trace I don't see how she can just go on without him and not be upset or mention him or something. Anyway, sorry if I offended anyone but, I felt a little left out on this last book.
