Demon's Lexicon Trilogy #02: The Demon's Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan
Demon's Lexicon Trilogy #02: The Demon's Covenant

anitaballerina, June 20, 2010

I enjoyed this book. It is the second novel in the trilogy. This was a very good sequel to it's predecessor. Amazing book!
The author didn't waste time retelling what happened in the previous book. She adds one or two sentences to sum it up.

Rat Bastards: The Life and Times of South Boston's Most Honorable Irish Mobster by John Red Shea
Rat Bastards: The Life and Times of South Boston's Most Honorable Irish Mobster

anitaballerina, June 14, 2010

This is a true story. In the Irish Mob from Southie Boston all but one were "rats" meaning they named names to police.
"Red" was the only one who kept his mouth shut about what was done and who did what. Because of that he went to jail.
He is now living life and abiding by the laws and wrote this book about his experiences in the Mob.
I found this book very interesting and scary at the same time. I really enjoyed it.

Brand new series. I really enjoyed this book.It is very fun and different. The characters are well developed and the plot is strong.
It's a quick read and great for a hot summer day when you stay in and just want to sit in a cool house and read. Also great for the beach. Loved this book, highly recommend it.

Ash by Malinda Lo
Ash

anitaballerina, June 7, 2010

This was a very interesting retelling of the Cinderella story. I enjoyed it a lot. My only complaint is that I wish the cover synopsis was more clear that is lesbian love story. I have no problems with the content, I was surprised by the twist. Ash falls in love with a huntress instead of a prince.
I really enjoyed it and would recommend this story to many readers.
Lo created a vivid and dark world, but it was captivating and beautiful.
It's a very good beach read if your looking for something fast and fun.

This is such a fun and fast read. I really enjoyed the antics that the characters get themselves into. This is a great book for a beach read. Young, makes her readers laugh in this book. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast, funny, enjoyable read.
