Cute, short story. Verbena's a witch, but she doesnt want to be- much to her mothers disapproval. Its a short story and the alternating views would be annoying if the book was any longer, at times we read the same scene through the eyes of several characters, but it works okay.
I was left pleasantly surprised with Fablehaven. I hadn't expected much since children's fantasy has a habit of being overdone. I felt this story brought some new elements into play and was unique.
