As I read, I kept expecting some depth. The book turned out to be a fairy tale, where everyone lives happily ever after. True, many are looking for mindlessness for their summer read, but there were so many opportunities to make a statement that were lost. Childhood love comes to fruition, divorced husband returns a changed and sensitive man, true and "forbidden" love triumphs in the end.
