Selected Poems of Wendell Berry by Wendell Berry
Selected Poems of Wendell Berry

audi, November 12, 2006

This is the first book of poems I picked up and read and actually liked! Wendell Berrry's writing style is nature-based. His poems are somewhat descriptive narrative, so it gives a very vivid picture in our mind along with the feeling of how we would personally experience it. Often times I find that i become the first person and become one with the poems. Since I've read this book, it has opened me to the beautiful sense of reading and writing poetry. And ever since i've picked it up, I've been reading other poetry collections by Wendell Berry and have been writing some poems myself. In other words, this book is a great inspiration.

A Northern Light (Borders Edition) by Jennifer Donnelly

Awesome book! A touching and compelling story of a girl who's finding her voice. I couldn't get enough and had to read it over and over again. Really a hope-filled book of courage, life, and love.
