The Future Is Queer: A Science Fiction Anthology by Richard Labonte
The Future Is Queer: A Science Fiction Anthology

bears.with.saws, January 16, 2012

This book was, in short, amazing. Each story presented a different shade of the rainbow, so to speak, each one wrapped in its own unique vision of the future. I would recommend this book to science fiction fans and LGBT literature fans alike. My personal favourite was the Beatrix Gates, but this book has one queer, futuristic short story for everyone, really.

Sphere by Michael Crichton
Sphere

bears.with.saws, September 19, 2010

This book was recommended to me by friends and family, and being a fan of Jurassic Park, I had to try it, and I wasn't disappointed. Suspenseful, mysterious, and deep, Sphere really explores the human psych, while giving sci-fi fans something to enjoy as well. The characters each have their own story, yet nothing is more mysterious than the alien sphere they find inside of a ship in the ocean. The book has great questions to puzzle anyone, without becoming strictly science fiction. Definitely reccomended.

Three Blind Mice & Other Stories by Agatha Christie

bears.with.saws, September 19, 2010

I very much enjoyed Three Blind Mice, not unlike any of Agatha Christie's books. Each story was as mysterious and suspenseful as the last, introducing interesting new characters and puzzling questions. It gives the reader a look at Christie's famous Hercule Poirot, and Miss Marple. Definitely a must for any Agatha Christie fan, or just a fan of mystery books.
