Supportive vindication for all of us who recognize the need for solitude to do one's best work, a clarion call for intelligent action despite the clamor of counterproductive social norms.
I had no idea there was so much actual extant research regarding individual responses to stimuli and associated behaviors. A great, eye-opening read, possibly life-changing for those of us whose strengths are characterized as weaknesses by mainstream thought. If read, understood and incorporated in social planning, could improve life throughout human society.
Rozan outdoes herself with each work. Here she has created a grueling series of intense ticking-bomb mazes for Bill Smith to negotiate, all the while maintaining the intellectual-puzzler level of the Sleuth/Usual Suspects genre. Her best thriller yet, especially as it maintains the humane spirit and intelligence so compelling in all her work.
Ms. Barry has always been able to get at the heart of things and make one laugh and cry. There is no substitute here for just going through the book page by page and letting it overtake you.
Thank you once again, Powerpuff girl.

A earthheaving story of sacrifice, miscommunication, loss, love. If you are an artist, a Russophile, or have ever visited St. Petersburg and the inconceivable Hermitage, or if you happen to have a loved one who is descending into memory loss, this book will leave you gasping for air.
