Allen's book's combined into one handy copy. Excellent
quality photos and text. Clear pictures. Allen still
currently teaches so this is a good primer prior to possibly meeting him to study with. The Orthodox school of hsing-i chuan and pakuachang. No applications included but the forms are high quality and extremely useful for self-defense. Chen pan-ling
and Wang shu-jin styles.

Pa-kua by Robert W. Smith
Pa-kua

billrunsfast, January 4, 2009

The essential primer for the Gao style and Sun style
baguazhang. Essential for any bagua player to have in
ones collection. A nice feature is that the circle forms chapter shows variations of the changes by
Sun Lu Tang, Wang Shu Chin and others. This book really covers lots of ground. Good to see it back in print. I have it and had the original kodansha text
many years ago. A great book.
