This is a book for those like me who have given up on church, american christianity(the business), evangelical hypocrites, and were taught that Catholics must be a crazed cult of Pope lovers, blood drinkers, and Mary prayers. For this is what evangelicals teach and preach. Ms Norris has been the only rope I have found that has held me from sliding all the way outside anything called christian. Her gentle words of hope, spiritual insight, and Laughter have soothed my sin-filled heart and mind a 1000 times. Three times I have picked this book up and held on. My secret and greatest dream is to meet her and become her friend so that I may find a way back into a church. I the most un-Catholic of people even tried to join a parrish but with a terminally ill wife who I promised would die at home. I could not go to their classes that must be taken to be a 'true' member. I wrote I called I begged but the only ear that gave listen were on the Net the Church itself ignored me completely. That was the third time I re-read 'The Clositered Walk' and Ms Norris words became my strength to keep reading the Bible and finding the biggest library in the world the Catholic Church. I owe her so much this book is a must for every struggling christian person out here which unless I miss my guest this is a population much larger than die-hard 'I believe it all no matter what'. So I say to you all just as ST Augustine heard on his fateful day...."pick it up and read". You will have a book for life and like me wish that fate, or faith, or a famous friend would introduce you to the author and by whatever miracle it would take you would become fast friends.
