This book is a must for anyone who loves fashion of the 18th and 19th Century, and for anyone who loves seeing actual photo's of the clothing. (And not just paintings or fashion plates from the period.) The book is filled with full page images of startling detail and is a brilliant reference guide. The clothing is modeled on gray mannequins which show off the shape of the clothing. The photographs are staged well with satisfying visuals of the fabrics. It is a 2 book set: one book focusing on the 18th and one for the 19th. Both books are stunning! A great buy.
