I like this book a lot. I'm not a big reader of music history, but this caught my eye and I've hardly been able to put it down. Unterberger is clearly passionate about his subject(s), and his passion shines through in his writing. He's got a million stories from a million sources, mostly the lesser-knowns of the folk and folk-rock scene in the 60s, from Al Kooper to Janis Ian to Mimi Farina to Chris Hillman and on and on and on. It's thorough and fascinating.
