Another classic by Cornwell, the king of historical fiction. He paints a vivid picture of history, all the struggle, triumph, and tragedy is there in his latest effort. Very highly recommended.

American Corrections: Theory, Research, Policy and Practice (10 - Old Edition)

butlerrich, September 24, 2011

As a 25 year professional in Community Corrections and then an educator in the field, this book is highly recommended. This newly updated edition is a comprehensive overview of the American Correctional System, addressing theory as required in academia, while still rooted in practical application. Bottom line ... Read this book and you will have a solid understanding of the American Correctional system.
