Intriguing and remarkable mystery, Molly Blume is her own girl friday as freelance crime writer/reporter in LA. Witty with jewish characters and overtones will she be able to save the day or lose her life as she gets close to the truth? A great diversion, I adore the Molly Blume series and this first book is a treasure!

If you enjoy the works of Zora Neale Hurston, Alice Walker or Toni Morrison run and pick up a a copy of this book of poetry by Jean Toomer. Her stunning and strong voice is pleasure to read. Articulate and powerful her poems resonate with the experiences of a strong African American woman's emotional journey through a turblent world. An inspiring book.

The Enlightened Heart by Stephen Mitchell

In today's hectic world this book is both calming and serene. Soothing, peaceful and dreamy the poems and excerpts are a lovely escape and sweet to read to someone one you love. I originally picked this up as part of college course on introspection and openminded thought.

Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce

Imagine Red Riding Hood combined with Buffy the vampire slayer and you get a novel like this one. Its about 2 sisters fighting werewolves, trying to find their way in a dark dangerous world; will they heal from the scars of their past, will they find love and acceptance together or will the battle between good and evil drive them apart? A remarkable book worth your time.
