I loved this book as I love all of Elin Hildebrand's books but I have one criticism. In two different books she makes mention of brownstone houses on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. I have lived in Manhattan for almost all of my life and cannot recall ever having seen a brownstone on 5th Avenue. This error creates a really jarring note in an otherwise beautiful piece of work. It makes the reader lose respect for the author and think that she lacks first hand knowledge of her subject. I have asked other people I know if they have ever seen a brownstone house on 5th Avenue and they have never seen one either. If you would research more carefully in the future it would be greatly appreciated by your Manhattan readers.
