I LOVE this book! Absolutely fascinating, historical, and factual information presented in an easy-to-read format for the general audience. I learned so much by reading it. Takes difficult concepts, such as the action of infection by HIV, and explains them such that they can be understood while still using "medically correct" terminology. If science and disease interest you (I'm not a scientist; I have an English degree) you will love this book. The first part of the book-the history of germs and disease, and the discovery of antibiotics-is awe-inspiring.
