Canada by Richard Ford

Once again Richard Ford has written an excellent novel about family, choices, life, and so much more. He captures people in a way that reflects the best and worst of themselves. I'm looking forward to his next book (of short stories) and many more years of writing by this master.

Looking forward to reading this book. From the reviews and articles online, it looks to be another classic of his which will be read for years to come.

1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
1Q84

Excellent, albeit long, novel about a man and a woman who were destined to be together. Murakami delves into an alter world that can't help but draw the reader in.

Raymond Carver: A Writer's Life by Carol Sklenicka
Raymond Carver: A Writer's Life

carldawg9, September 1, 2011

Ray Carver was an imperfect man whose fiction touched generations. This biography shows the reader just how fragile this gentle giant was and how much he was loved. Sklenicka spent over 10 years researching and it shows. Great job!
