Yelena has commited a crime. She has killed. Worse still, she has killed a General's son. And for that she is given a choice-either become the Commander's food taster or be executed.Needless to say, she chooses food taster. Soon she is spun into her new life.A life filled with intrigue and romance. Maria Snyder's novel is superb-especially for a first novel. The novel flows, Yelena's adventures are exciting and the characters memorable.

The startling sequel to Poison Study this novel continue the story of Yelena, a young food taster. Although she's not the food taster for the Commander of Ixia anymore. In fact she's not even in Ixia. Yelena's been taken to Sitia where she is reunited with her family and where she discovers a chain of murders.
This book is extremely interesting. The novel will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you long for the third book (Fire Study). Luckily you won't have to wait for long. Fire Study is comnig out in March.
Daughter of the Forest is a superb retelling of Celtic folklore. Juliet Marillier is an awesome storyteller whose words will immerse you into the book. Once you start it, you will have to finish it. It's just that good.

Another novel of superior quality by Megan Whalen Turner. Gen is as charismatic as ever. Megan Whalen Turner's writing has many layers, each better than the last. It is simply ingenious.
