The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales (Pantheon Fairy Tale & Folklore Library) by Jacob Grimm
The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales (Pantheon Fairy Tale & Folklore Library)

This book is beautifuly illustrated. It has famous stories like Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, among others. However some of the stories are very violent and disgusting almost. This is not a book for little children, it is rather for pre-teens and adults. I found it very interesting and I am very glad I bought it, it is a book that should be in every home.

The Complete Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales (Literary Classics) by Hans Christian Andersen
The Complete Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales (Literary Classics)

cioffi1286, April 8, 2007

The book is a hardcover with gold-leave edges. It also has a ribbon bookmark that I find very useful. The pages of the book are similar in material to those of a Bible which can be torn easily if not handled with care, so I would suggest that you do not let your children play around with too much. Otherwise the book is beautiful and to me it looks like a book that belongs to a fairy tale. The stories are wonderful as well as classic. I enjoyed reading it to my children as much as I enjoyed reading it myself.

The Adventures of Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren
The Adventures of Pippi Longstocking

cioffi1286, April 7, 2007

Since I first read the Pippi Longstocking many adventures when I was just a child, I fell in love with the high spirited and wonderfully creative as well as original character. Her independence, common sense, strength, resourcefulness, and compassion were a tremendous inspiration to me. Even as an adult I am still captivated by the wonderfull adventures of Pippi Longstocking. It is a book that must be part of every child's library and it is a literature classic.
This edition is a collection of three of the most popular Pippi Longstocking series. The graphics and drawrings are beautiful and just add to the enjoyment of the book.
