I read this book a few years ago when I was in my early twenties, recently graduated from college and totally lost and without direction. Brave on the Rocks, through it's timely wisdom, helped me understand that the feelings I was having were not unique. In fact, Harris put into her art and words the same thoughts that were buzzing around in my head. This book helped me to actually take some chances and make some life choices that enriched my life and helped me to stop spinning my wheels and start living a full adult life. I was looking for a role model and I found one in Sabrina Ward Harris. The images in this book have a heartbeat of their own and I sometimes wish I could wallpaper my home with them. I'm a language arts teacher and I don't typically talk this passionately about books... but this one truly made me feel connected to my female contemporaries and inspired to be BRAVER!
