My favorite scene is the one in which Henry, the youthful Bible salesman, has been asked to bury a farmwife's beloved cat. The cat has a snake stuck in its mouth, and its head is swollen to the size of a melon. Henry is trying to keep the woman from seeing the grusome corpse.
