this book brought Rome to life for me. i am now so thrilled that i added Rome to my upcoming Europe trip, and i absolutely cannot wait to see it for the first time. this book is amusing, funny, entertaining, thought-provoking, and beautiful.
I'll just say it: I am not a good cook. But I want to try! And this book has so many simple recipes and detailed explanations on cooking techniques that I am inspired and motivated to pick maybe one recipe at a time and try it. I am now convinced that I will slowly but surely be able to teach myself how to cook, and actually find Joy in the process.
