The Cold Dish: A Walt Longmire Mystery by Craig Johnson
The Cold Dish: A Walt Longmire Mystery

dovewiregirl, October 22, 2014

The first book in Craig Johnson's Longmire series hooked me right off with a fantastic, believable character. Johnson tells a good story at a good pace; action, suspense, setting all combine to make this a truly enjoyable read that is hard to put down. I will be reading the entire series (at least twice).

Engaging. Masterful. Kept me rapt and left me with unshakable chills. In short: W-O-W.

Cold Days: A Novel of the Dresden Files (Dresden Files) by Jim Butcher
Cold Days: A Novel of the Dresden Files (Dresden Files)

It may not be high lit. or prose to swoon over, but this latest installment in the Dresden series kept me glued to my overly-cozy reading chair from the opening sentence to the last. In a year of uber-heavy reality, I found the page-turning, hilarious-familiar character-unbelievably non-stop now what?! creative conundrum the perfect anodyne... Grin restored. Grateful reader.
