I read "The Dragon Can't Dance" as a part of my studies in Caribbean Literature and it was an intriguing experience. The novel throbs with vibrant images of characters who are caught in the spirit of carnival. Aldrick's need "To be Dragon and Man" is a poignant echo of a Caribbean desire to assert an identity.
The novel is a great read!
