I found this book both thought provoking and touching. It gives a clear idea of what it is to be young and discover you are gay. It also shows how cruel others can be.
I could hardly tear myself away from the book, once I had started reading it and experienced the feelings of love awakening in Jan and Kerry for each other. I was particularly touched by their bravery in being forced to endure the savage animosity of other students.
This book left me wanting more and wondering about what their lives would be like as they continued to divulge their homosexuality to their families and others they would be dealing with, in the future.
