The writing style is pretty good, but he does repeat things to make an attitude. He likes to end chapters with short, effect-producing lines, and this gets old after a while. However I love the character that he creates in Bourne. A stand-up man who I could fall in love with. What is really great is that unlike most spy/action/mystery type books is that Marie is not a simpering idiot who cant stand up for herself. She is actually smart, and well-educated and helps the main character quite a bit. It was also mind boggling the kind of betrayl going on through out the novel, twists and turns of all sorts. Over all a great book that keeps you reading more. I wish the movie stayed true to it.

I read a few chapters on the aol website and was absolutely riveted. Im a poor student and I cant really afford the book, so I went to Borders and finished it in like two hours. What Kate describes is something that one can only imagine happening in a freaky fiction story, to think that this is how she lives is frightening. I wanted to reach out to her and say "Hey, Im here for you, you can count on me, I am a friend." I cant imagine the fear that she lives in, and I admire her for how strong she is. I probably would have killed the bastard, just point blank came up and shot him. Three cheers for Kate!
