A fantastic read for fantasy fiction lovers and those who aren't. I wasn't a huge fan of this genre, but this first book in a great trilogy got me hooked - which led to my reading not only its sequels, but also "The Stolen Child". I can't say I have ventured back to fantasy fiction full-time, but I certainly now keep an open mind about it. Highly recommended!

I'm not sure why it took me so long to pick up this book - I've had a gift copy for years! Guess I thought the writing would be poor by today's standards... not so. It truly is a timeless classic for ALL ages and I now know why. I loved this novel!
