This is a very dramatic and detailed book. While the title, book cover, and format (diary) may throw a male audience off from reading it, many of the boys in my class loved it. Daisy Fay is a remarkable character, although not entirely fictional. Fannie Flagg based a lot of Daisy's moments off of her own and an amazing tale is told. Flagg's characters are amazing, Daisy is witty and a true role model, and even the bad guys help to make a great plot line.
