Very well written book, but the story is hard to follow for me. It switches between an interrogation and memories of a man. The story also goes too much in deptch about wanja the prostitute. My school forced me to read this book, and overall it was a well written book, but incredibly slow at some parts when they drag on scenes of prostitution.
Schools tend to take literature and beat them senseless until they spit out nothing but their guts. No feelings. I rated higher than what I actully think the book deserved because of the feeling schools create towards books. With the school bias, I would rate it a 3, but I know it would be better if I had the time to really relate to the topics. I apologize for any grammar mistakes in my review, I have never had a good time in english.
