Essential Reiki: A Complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art by Diane Stein
Essential Reiki: A Complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art

ericnbarb, October 2, 2006

Good info, but Stein has such a negative edge to her writing that doesn't seem conducive to a good Reiki practice. She is very pro-woman (cool), but at the expense of being VERY anti-man (not cool). Reiki is about compassion. How does excluding half the population speak of compassion. I prefer other authors, although she is obviously a very wise and talented woman.

Reiki Fire (Shangri-La) by Frank A Petter
Reiki Fire (Shangri-La)

ericnbarb, October 2, 2006

Sensitive and helpful writing, Petter speaks with eloquence when writing or during interviews. Any serious student of Reiki MUST have Petter in their reading collection.

Reiki the Healing Touch: First and Second Degree Manual by William Lee Rand
Reiki the Healing Touch: First and Second Degree Manual

ericnbarb, October 2, 2006

Excellent practical guide to level I and II Reiki. I refer back to it often, and now, as I embark on a teaching career in Reiki, I chose this manual as an aide to help me prepare for instruction. I can not recommend it enough
