This is the third of Eve Dallas's series. Eve's friend, Mavis, is a suspect in the murder of her lover's ex-girlfriend. Now Eve has to help her friend and solve the case before another gets murdered. Truly suspenseful and a page-turner. This book was hard to put down. Eventually I put it down when my eyes were hurting. I love reading this book because of the characters, the way Eve finds her killer, and all that technology being available in the next 60 years.

Second in the Lieutenant Eve Dallas series, Eve has to solve a case that might jepordize her relationship with the richest man alive, Roarke. With so much technology 60 years from now, murder is always impossible to avoid. This book is way better than watching television programs because J.D. Robb's character are lively and unpredictable. Further, the plot is exciting and suspenseful. Definitely a winner and I didn't regret buying it. The only thing I did regret is not buying it in hardcover, so I could read it again and again.
